What a GRAND Grand Opening!

Wysdom Arts Gallery and Atelier held its Grand Opening on October 27, 2024. The event was filled with Afrikan drumming by Keur Khaleyi African Dance Co., unique Afrikan attire by NSAA African Creations, and all natural juices by Root Juice. What a time we had!

So many friends stopped by to grace the space with their energy and help lift the vibrations for good things to manifest in the Gallery. We are SO honored that you stopped by to take in the art, sample the Root Juice, and purchase new clothes.

If you were unable to attend the Grand Opening, we welcome you to stop by at any time, Tuesday through Saturday between the hours of 11am and 6pm.

Click the button below to enjoy the sounds of Keur Khaleyi and see the artwork + a walkthrough of the space.

Dear One,

On November 5th, I had the honor to be one of 12 artists featured in the LEGEND: Time Traveller Museum Exhibit hosted by MUSEA Intentional Creativity® Museum. Not only was this a great honor, but the paintings on display were all created in the 4 days prior to the Exhibit!

In this photograph, I stand hand-in-hand with my mentor and teacher, Curate Shiloh Sophia, in front of my newest painting - "Naa". Naa is a Ghanaian word meaning 'queen' and the story of the painting can be read below.

As an artist, I never get used to the excitement I feel when my artwork is featured in an exhibit. It is continual confirmation that the path of the artist is part of my path!

As a Global MUSEA Center for Intentional Creativity®, I look forward to exhibiting women artists around the world right here at Wysdom Arts Gallery & Atelier in Baltimore Maryland. It is not only an honor, but it is a privilege to display the artwork of those who make up 50% of the artists in the world, yet only 3% are exhibited in galleries and museums.

Together let's change that paradigm!

It goes without saying that as a Black woman, I am gravely disappointed in the results of the 2024 US Presidential Election. As a mother of 3 Suns, my fear for their safety is now exponentially heightened. But I refuse to live in the fear that the hate mongerers project!

The day after the election, after I had some time to process what I was feeling, I created a podcast about the numbness. No matter what I may feel in this moment, I refuse to allow this to alter my existence.

I will not live small and in the shadows!

If you would like to listen to the podcast (7 minutes), you can do so HERE. Many thanks for hearing me and for continued UNITY!

Much Love,
Sangoma Naa Kwarley

Certified Intentional Creativity® Cura

We are proud to announce that on November 5th at MUSEA Center in Sonoma California, Wysdom Arts' Proprietess, Naa Kwarley Amissah, graduated from MUSEA University's Animystica Cura Certification Training class!

A Cura is a healer of the village. Some cultures refer to their healers as Sangoma (Afrikan) or Curandera (Spanish) or Medicine Woman (Western).

Although the official title from the University is "Cura", Naa Kwarley refers to herself as a Sangoma, which is in alignment with her Afrikan heritage and roots. Sangomas are defined as: "A spiritual healer who connects with ancestral spirits... They learn ethnic and communal history and mythology, and are keepers of sacred knowledge." Naa Kwarley's deep connection with her Ancestors aligns her with the Sangoma healing practices of Afrika.

Let's congratulate Sangoma Naa Kwarley on a job well done!

New Artwork

Our Resident Artist, Naa Kwarley, has painted her Legend! Here is her latest artwork and the Legendary Story that accompanies the paintinng.

Out of the shadows and into the Light, Daughter, for you are a beacon of hope for those seeking solace in this world. You are a Queen! A knowing you have felt for a long time, only to be confirmed upon your return Home and the bestowal of a proper name rooted in your heritage. The Ghanaian name given to you is Naa Kwarley - QUEEN Kwarley - for your people know who you are.

You have the ability to step into the Shadow to gather what you need to return to the Light stronger, more determined.

You are a leader who provides the tools for others to heal themselves, all while you work on healing your Self - never allowing ego to block the truth that we all must work toward healing every day.

In the darkest of times, you emit a Light bright enough to see through to the other side of darkness and the strength to weather the storms and cross the threshold of Light.

Your connection to Source and your Ancestors give you the insight to see brighter days and the wherewithal to reach them.

There is no more living small! It is time to let your True Light shine and shed beauty and abundance wherever you go. Shower your Light upon whomever seeks you out for what you seek is seeking you.

And always remember - you ARE your Ancestors wildest dreams...

Upcoming Classes

THRIVE!

Join us for a 3-day Medicine Painting Retreat - January 17 - 19, 2025.

A weekend retreat designed to release the old story that no longer serves you and step into the full embodiment of a new story.

Alchemical Affirmations

Are you yearning for a creative spiritual practice that will both empower you and bring you joy month after month as you grow as a Creative?

Daily affirmations have been proven to be transformative. Along with art and a daily writing practice - also proven to be of great benefit to your health and wellness - transformation is realized. Alchemical Affirmations synergizes these 3 healing modalities and creates a joint effect greater than the sum of the modalities achieved separately.
